About the St. Sergius Renaissance Circle (SSRC)
In October of 2001, the Saint Sergius Renaissance Circle (SSRC) was formed. The purpose of the Circle is twofold:
1) to spread the Orthodox Faith and culture in the Cleveland area
2) to strengthen an Orthodox identity among the younger generation through religious and cultural activities.
At the present time, the first objective is met through weekly adult religious discussions on Wednesday nights. Also, members of SSRC assist with the parish bookstore, meet with visitors and actively participate in parish life (Choir, Sisterhood and the Parish Church School).
The second objective is further developed with outreach activities. For example, in February of 2002, the SSRC will host members of the St. Vladimir Youth Group, and will likewise assist in organizing the St. Herman Conference, which the parish will host this December.
For more information the Circle or its activities, contact Fr. Peter, or the group coordinator, Larissa Rodzianko
The SSRC youth were active at the last St. Hermans Youth Conference held here in Parma. To see Pictures, many of which show the youth from the SSRC helping to run the conference, click HERE
